KU had 53 possessions yesterday, which is the lowest in the Bill Self era.  Tech took the air out of the ball and didn't shoot it until there were less than five seconds left on the shot clock.  There weren't many opportunities for Wiggins to put up huge numbers, but he gave us his best overall game in a Jayhawk uniform and made a couple clutch plays down the stretch.  LOL at how many of you clowns are actively rooting for this kid to fail.

Who's rooting against him? The phogets and ESPN compared him to Lebron, Danny, etc. If you wanna play that hype, you gotta live with that hype. I'm happy tech was his super bowl tho.

because our roster was so loaded with studs that we didn't need to rely on a freshman

Ben Maclemore had a better freshman year than this fellow Wiggins.

LOL at how many of you clowns are actively rooting for this kid to fail.

I personally don't want him to fail.  If Ku was 7-5 and Wiggins was ave 20 and 10, I would be a lot happier

My point is he put up 19pt-6reb-2ast.   I don't care how many poss. there were tonight.  I have seen studs put those numbers up in less than a half.    Parker for Duke is also a 6'8 talented freshman forward.   Over his last 9 games he is putting up 20.1 pts and 11.3 reb and has combined for 3 blocks/steals per game.

Since Jan 1, Wiggins is only a 46.1% 2pt and 34.6% 3pt shooter, and over that time his 16-6-2 averages are about the same as his full season ave.   Add in under 2.0 combined steals and blocks, I would say his stats are good.   A long way from great .

But I am glad for you and the other hawk fans that his 19-6-2 and last second hoop was his best overall game for KU.  It helped you beat a team that won't make the tourney by 1 pt.  Grats!

The Parker v. Wiggins comparison isn't really fair any more.

Randle at Kentucky is also outplaying our boy Andy at 16 & 10 per game and he's doing it from a role where he doesn't get near as many touches.

I happened to catch Steve Kerr on the Herd today at lunch and he said this year's draft looks to be the weakest it has been in the last 10 years... Parker is the only player in this class that come in and contribute 20 a game... Hopefully guys like Wiggins can figure it out in the D league and become nice players someday.

Sorry, Andy.

The development kids get at KSU is simply amazing.  Could you guys imagine if Bill was able to replicate like even 20% of that?

Parker is approaching Beasley levels of excellence.  Wiggins just isn't cut from the same cloth

He's not there yet but he could if he starts scoring more and dominates the boards.
