What if Wiggins is a bust?

Listen guys, I TSC for a living, but facts are facts. Andrew Wiggins aka lebron 2.0 aka Wilt the Stilt 2nd coming of Jesus, is only averaging 13 ppg vs D2 schools from Kansas. What if Self ruins another one?

BUT, if you were going to do an analysis of how well every consensus #1 player did in his first two games, Wiggins numbers would probably be the worst ever.  However, that does NOT matter to us,because A) we love him, B) his teammates are rough ridin' dicks, and C) wait until conference time, bros.

This is like complaining about the star QB's stats when he played one quarter in pre-season NFL games. Sure Self is more concerned about vetting out the back end of the rotation with Duke around the corner. Pretty obvious with the minutes distribution. Maybe he should have made it the Wiggins show to get him on ESPN more, but I'm not sure Wiggins needs that. It was pretty clear that when he wanted to, Andrew could do whatever he wanted out there. That's what I took from the game. That, and we are very, very deep with talent and Mason is going to be a heck of a player for us for several years.

I did a search of my FB feed.  ZERO Wiggins mentions since the first game.  Before?  Dozens.  They're poised to run on our guy already.

I expect wiggins to put up huge numbers! BIGGER than Beasley did.
Beasley was surrounded by a cast of stud professional basketball players that took away some of his #s.

Wiggins has a cast of guys that are going to go pro in something else.
He is going to have to carry this team which means he will have some up and downs throughout the season..
but just like all cats he will always land on his feet.

Guys haven't seen the games, but is Self still a nervous wreck in games like these? 

Maybe not so much now, but when he first got to ku and a few games early in the season against inferior opponents (the kind that Roy's teams would just murder) were much closer than expected.   Self would look like he was about to toss his Salty Iguana lunch on the sidelines, probably knowing the outright demand for style points (I mean think about it, there were phogtucks openly questioning if Self was the guy back then). 

But yeah, I'm all in for #teamwiggins-give him the ball!!

I just don't see any way he could possibly be a bust, especially when one considers all the hoops talent that has been developed in Canada over the years...

The list of Canadians to play in the NBA is a veritable "Who's WHO!?!?" as they hope that somebody comes along to supplant Nash as the greatest Canadian ever.

We're just worried for him. We don't need another Selby result. He's only averaging 13 ppg against NAIA schools.

#1 players in the country are never busts that attend blue bloods schools.  Just look at John Wall and Austin Rivers, they turned out fine.  Our guy will be ok, unless Self decides he wants to keep him there for another year, which I think he already has decided he wants too.
