Fridays Snack-off (10/18/2013 edition)

alright fellas, welcome to this weeks "Friday Snackoff"! In this edition of the snack-off, we discuss the merits and tastes of an american classic. the chicken wing. love 'em or hate 'em, everybodies gotta have 'em. the question is what kind? and by that i mean, what is your wing of choice, if you had a choice?

option 1-no bone. the boneless wing. gaining popularity as we speak. a relative unknown years ago but can it crown itself the champ? also is it even a wing? doubtful. doubtful.

option 2-one bone. the chicken wing with no meat on one side, but a big glob of mismatch meat on the other. pump it of dump it for this challenger?

option 3-two bone. the classic two boner maroner. bones on the outside, meat on the inside. that's what she said.

1 bone is the only way to go.  You have the handle and dont have to worry about trying to dig the meat out of the middle.  And GTFOOMF with chicken nugget no bone bs

doesn't the inconsistent quality of the meat bother you though. oh this part here is edible, this part here is hard as a rock though and this little part way over here seems to be superglued to the bone and i can't get it off. it's like somebody took the meat from seven different chickens, rolled it into a ball and then stuck it on a stick for people to eat. no thanks.

I get the inconsistant part but at least you are trying to pull the bones apart or shoving your tongue between the bones trying to get the last bit out.

you know what's great for me fellas? pretty much all of the people that i eat wings with are one boner type folks. so that leaves me all brer rabbit in the two bone brer patch.

I prefer the one bone because it has a nice handle to hang on to. You don't have to get your other hand dirty pulling apart bones, so it is free for other things.

2 boners, or "flats" as they are called in the industry, are superior in meat flavor and meat volume. also I enjoy the visceral satisfaction of rending bone from bone.

the wings over there at jackstack are smoked.  they dry rub them with some sort of magical dust.  then, they smoke them.  no sauce. but? yes, it's an incredble two bone experience.

What? Just because I said that I like to put my hand (and my mouth) on one bone at a time, not two? Wouldn't it have been worse if I said I liked two bones?
