Why suspend him for any games if he is granted a diversion and does everything he is suppose to.He has already been suspended from any team activities.I just don't see why he should have to sit out any games if he behaves himself and gets credit for time served.

Somehow these KU athletes always end up retaining the same lawyer, and he manages to fix everything. He must be very good.

I was shocked to read that the Douglas County District Attorney graduated from KU (undergrad and law school)... I am not at all surprised, but a diversion seems blatantly like they don’t care at all.

Perhaps they randomly dismiss/divert DV cases in Douglas County, so when the times comes to let an athlete off the hook, it doesn't seem so unusual.

In the legal biz, they have what you call a "one free bite" rule, where every doggy gets to bite one person before the owner is on notice that they have a dangerous doggy and the owner is liable for subsequent bites.

In Lawrence, they have what you call a "one free punch a woman in the stomach" rule. Use it wisely!
