We are closer than it looks...

1. @ Memphis SHOULD finally show Beaty to play Willis full-time
1B. That keeps the opponents defense honest.
2. Beaty has to now know the OL needs help (RB/TE staying in)
3. There's no way we keep dinking and dunking for negative yards

Those are the biggies, but there's also:

4. Bowen called a decent game and should build on it
5. Lee will soon replace Graham at CB
6. All the 1st and 2nd year guys will improve more than other programs 3rd/4th year guys, who are who they are now
7. The OL will improve on assignments vs blitzes

There's another W coming and a few good showings if just 1-3 happen asap. Those 3 things would change A LOT and build momentum in every area. Football is like that. It doesn't take much.

Why Cozart was ever in the mix and why Beaty didn't immediately adjust 2 and 3 in-game vs Ohio and Memphis does concern me about Beaty as our Head Coach.
But...
We aren't winning much regardless this year. As long as he keeps the '17 class looking good and finally rectifies the above issues, I'm still on board for the 5 year rebuild. He gets his own learning curve on being the head guy.

So, if the TE and RB stay on every passing play, KU will never get the passing game going. That essentially means you can run nickel coverage with safety cover and rush seven on every down.

That doesn't make sense.

if I'm Beaty I tell every assistant I have left to stop coaching immediately and start full time recruiting for next year. Snyder himself couldn't get a single win out of this pile of dogshit they call a football team.

Agreed, but the first recruiting they need to do is a donor that will help them pay players on the side. Then take that money and go do some real recruiting.

They should practice things like never committing penalties and not fumbling the ball. Just do that, and use the entire play clock on every snap, and they would still lose every game, but they might not look like the worst team in CFB history doing it.
