It's going to be nice when it's done, no doubt.

I will not step off my tearing down an historic stadium relative to history (not performance on the field) to build a MLS clone stadium soapbox . . . ever.

Particularly in light of what other schools have done with their historic stadiums.

The lights while cool - are still a bit cheesy. That's a "build a MLS stadium out in a outlet store area with a Bucee's" look.  Not in keeping with building a stadium in the middle of a 175 year old college campus.

it’s definitely MLS 1000% and I think a big part of that decision is due to KC hosting the 2026 world cup.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Galvanizes why it’s called memorial stadium, in this case memorializing the 2026 FIFA World Cup and I think that’s swell!

What I don’t particularly like, is that whenever this The Streak comes to an end, good chance its going to happen in what appears to be a soccer stade. History Awaits!
