They're gonna spend $300+ mill on mostly non-revenue sports. Softball stadium, indoor track, basketball and wrestling training facilities, and then a "human performance innovation center" for football.

They're doing a bunch of work on the seating at Pickens, I hope part of it is to move the walls of death back.

I wouldn't be surprised if they put stadium seating similar to NFL stadiums.  Chairbacks are needed at BSFS!!!

I really wish this would happen. Lower the capacity by couple thousand an put in full size seats. I really hate having to sit with my body turned sideways because there are so many fat asses that take 1.5 seats.

Stadium seating would be great. Seatbacks are more comfortable than regular stadium seats imo. Cushions are nice. Are there outdoor stadiums with cushioned seats? Man that would be nice. Maybe they could rent cushions like they do seatbacks.

I disagree skinjamin and i'll tell you why and maybe its because i'm a "millenial" with borderline "zoomer tendencies" but its a lot easier for me to turn into a rowdyboi when i have some designated space that is my own and chairbacks sort of give you that. Like here i'll give you an example, the purples just advanced the ball past the line to gain and if i'm standing on a bench then i have to start dislocating my own shoulder before the PA guy says "good for a wild.cat..." if i want to have any prayer of getting my body rotated 90 degrees so that i can swing my arm to signal a first down. Because here's the thing SkiBe if i do a first down and my arm is not parallel to the sideline i feel even dumber than i look (and i look like a huge dumb idiot)

The problem with retro-fitting stadiums originally designed for bench seating with chairbacks is that that the aisles get really really tight.

I've not sat there, but lots of folks love the NEZ and the bench seat with a back.

This was definitely the case at Arizona when I visited. The few students that were there never got off their asses.

I am bummed because both the new indoor facility and the new vball/OTC facility construction cams have been taken off line.  For obvious reasons, since one project is done, and the other is now all mainly interior work.

I suspect we may not get anything similar for the retrofitting of the old indoor into the new indoor track.   

The Niles and Frazier in me would like to hear that Gene has changed his mind on pausing to take a breath on facilities, and will use the Tang momentum to fund raise for the total renovation of Bramlage (and don't even bother bringing up building a whole new place, because in regard to that, the Rubicon has been crossed and the boats have been burned).
