Makes me wonder why they didn't just do it in the Midland or Sprint Center.
I wonder why they do a massive in person event at all. It seems so dumb

it is quite amazing they have made the draft a thing to go to. I'm volunteering for it, shocked how many volunteers they were looking for, I think it had to be like a 1000 people.
Now, I’m not a “late-stage capitalism” kinda guy, but needing 1000 volunteers to put this televised revenue generating event on for the NFL is pretty insane

this thing is nuts. there are people standing at every surrounding intersection 24/7 just telling people where to drive.

I am not really that enthused about the draft. I never watch it except maybe a little of the first round, just follow on my phone or read the next day. Going to it in person has little to no interest to me.

Yes, for sure.

I do think though it's cool they now rotate it to cities w/ franchises instead of it just being in NYC and can have some added value getting $$ from the non-normal people who attend it.

I do think it's crack cocaine for sports-marketing & sabermetrics dudes as well as for fans who have screws lose and money to be parted from them, so let them have their day.

I know right? Lil SF is begging to go and I think I'm going to have to figure it out. Standing around a huge crowd of people to be at an event I think is dumb even for TV is going to be something. Memories for the little guy I guess.

I'd definitely take lil SF just so he can say he has been to the NFL draft and mush it in the face of all his classmates. Maybe saturday during the day?

My buddy lives in the crossroads across the train tracks from union station so I'm planning on going to the draft with him on friday just to check it out. Will probably be there about 30 minutes then go hit up some breweries.

I'm interested to see who these SUPER NFL FANS are that would actually travel for a draft.

does he live in stuart hall because i used to live there and loved it

I think its called Arterra? 21st and wyandotte area.

Yeah, go to the draft for like 30 minutes then walk over to the crossroads and slam like 18 billion beers and make lil SF drive home.

My brother works for an event management company, mainly music festivals but they have a small contract for something to do with the NFL draft.

Apparently the stage for the draft is so heavy they had to reinforce a lot of the underground parking in order to hold it.

I wouldn't want to take a kid. I don't recall seeing a lot of kids at it on TV. It seems to be mostly obnoxious, old guys.

The NFL Experience part is never on TV and is all focused on kid crap. 40 yard dash, field goal kicking, etc.
