oh man, camping. the absolute worst.

Lollerz, me and my bros go on a float trip once a year(White midwestern things) and one friend refuses to go. Every year he says "Yeah, let me take time off work to sleep on the ground, no thanks"

Exact reason I don't go on those.  Sleep on ground is one thing.  doing so in 90deg weather and some ridic humidity is another.  Pfft.

Where are you camping rick?

good question. prob out to pott2 and maybe out to tuttle. if i get crazy i'll head west and make it to colorado (southern) but i doubt that will happen this year. prob a year or two away from that.

Fair warning, alcoholic beverages are "prohibited" at pott2.  Don't know how rebellious you're feeling, but it's something to be aware of.  I'm not sure about tuttle but I think you can binge there no worries

high school rd and rd friends used to binge quite a bit out at the old pott2. what those pigs don't know won't hurt them, amirite fellas?  :fatty:

daris, why not just rent one of the cabins out at tuttle?

i might do that sometime but it just seems like i should also get a tent and try that too, you know? plus they don't have cabins at pott2 and i love pott2.

Yeah, if it is just you and your kid or if your family is all a bunch of little ppl or something.  Otherwise, you better bring a truck for every two ppl.

I can't help you with the tent daris but just know I have your back on this whole camping thing.  100%.  tailgating with nature.

non-boozy camping and camping with fillies sucks tho (unless they go elsewhere to sleep)

I hate camping and I did not grow up on a cow farm.  Not sure where this leaves us.  Perhaps not related to cow farms.

I think this is why I don't get a kick out of golf. I like camping a lot more now that I'm in California. Lots of cool spots w/in 2 hours or so. Big Sur, Redwoods, Yosemite, Mt. Shasta, etc.

also not a camping fan, and i also did not grow up on a cow farm.  in fact i would have had to travel at least 30 minutes to find a cow farm (i think, i don't know where any cow farms are).

a/c and mattresses were invented for a reason.

gonna be honest. no one in this thread has mentioned anything that qualifies as actual camping.

not my problem that a bunch of noobs wanna talk about driving up to a camping spot, unloading a cooler of beer and chowin down on hot dogs while admiring the fact that they are "roughin it."

Does eating berries you found and wiping your ass with leaves qualify?  Seems like it would make the experience even less enjoyable, which always struck me as sort of the point of camping.  "That's not real camping son, you gotta punch yourself in your own face while you do it and then we can talk. It ain't camping if'n it ain't awful is what my daddy always used to say."

I like camping when the weather is nice.  nothing better than binge drinking outside all day and around a campfire at night.

I passed through the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, through the sea of swirly twirly gum drops, and then I walked through the Lincoln Tunnel and then pitched my tent! now thats camping!
