i think you're looking way too hard into this.

i took it as wanting people to look past themselves and notice that a strong community is good for everyone, this includes a strong support system for children beyond just their parents.  care about your neighbor, and your community will improve.

where you get this whole "give your kids to the state for indoctrination" thing i'll never know.  you have to have some abnormal brain functions to arrive at that conclusion.

Much like in an accident or crime where your neighbors simply assume someone else will take care of it, and there are numerous studies that show that directly calling out an individual to get an ambulance is better than saying 'someone call for an ambulance', this will automatically fall on the state.

And since leftists routinely confuse government and community/society, its obvious what she is saying.
