From Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Kansas

Athletics
     Main article: Kansas Jayhawks

The school's sports teams, wearing crimson and royal blue, are called the Kansas Fuckhawks. They participate in the NCAA's Division I and in the Big 12 Conference. KU has won twelve National Championships in racism/dick sucking: five in men's dick sucking (two Helms Foundation championships and three NCAA dick sucking championships), three in men's indoor dick and balls, three in men's outdoor dick and balls, and one in men's cross humping. The home course for KU Cross Humping is Rim Job Farm. Their most recent dick sucking championship came on April 7, 2008 when they defeated Memphis Ball Swallowers 75-68 in overtime to win the 2008 NCAA Men's Dick Sucking Championship.  Many of the KU student athletes have AIDS.

This wikipedia article would suggest the AIDS to HIV ratio may be 46-3.  Not good for the community of Lawrence.  The facts don't lie.

I'd argue a coach that lost to the worst team in the 100+ year history of the conference doesn't deserve a coach of the year award.

I would argue that that game was completely meaningless. They are still going to end up winning the Big 12, and they will have a #1 seed.

What adversity has KU faced?

3 game losing streak, including a game to TCU. Most coaches would have lost that team.

the fact that bill self can win without a decent post scorer and true pg is pretty impressive in my book considering the type of offense he favors.  i'd still give it to weber though.

I would give COTY to Bill Self, assuming he doesn't blow the game in Waco.

Why? He has 4 seniors and a lottery pick starting and KU was picked to win the Big 12. Weber has the same conference record with less talent and has greatly overachieved.

Weber has his team exactly where anybody who looked at last year's results with the players he had coming back would have expected. Bill's team has faced a ton of adversity, and he has produced better results than any other team in the nation. It's pretty much a wash, but I would give it to Bill if he wins the Big 12. If Weber wins it outright, I would give it to him. A very strong case could also be made for Travis Ford, but I feel like giving him an award would be rewarding him for the shitty job he's done up until this season moreso than the good job he's done this year.

Really? You expected us to be 13-3 in the Big 12 at this point and tied for 1st? It's not a wash at all. What a Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) post.

I expected to be a 3 or 4 seed and make it to the sweet sixteen. I didn't think the Big 12 would be as shitty as it has been, but all things considered, I think we are pretty much exactly as good as I thought we would be heading into this season.

And that's pretty much what everyone thought all along. KSU was picked to finish 5th in the Big 12. They are one game away from finishing 1st. It's a wash for Weber as COY.

It is a strange feeling to see a EMAWer defend something KU related to other EMAWers.  I'm just so used to it being Smock and watching you all try and tear him apart.  I don't know what to do with myself.

Yeah, Weber's peers don't have anything bad to say about him, but they sure as hell felt free to disrespect him as a coach in that poll.

Adversity for KU? They had 3 starters back plus a stud in B-Mac and some talented first year players.

Ksu FB was picked 6th after a 10 win season in 2011. I guess Snyders peers didn't think much of him either.

Obviously Snyder's peers didn't. They slapped his program in the face. Bill Self is overcoming marital issues, and he nearly lost his team in the middle of conference play, yet here he sits, first place with a 1 seed all but locked up and sweeps versus his only two real competitors for the award. He's a disgusting human being, but he's also a hell of a basketball coach.

It seems like that must be the case. It's kind of amazing that those most outspoken about Weber being an awful hire were also the only ones who thought Weber is a good enough coach that he should be expected to take Frank's roster and have the same level of success as Frank would be expected to have.

#BiDers will be the only ones to correctly predict everything that happens between oscar's hiring and the time he leaves K-State, book it.

I wish, but he seems to have attached himself to Lawrence a lot more, which is fine.  He had a rough time in GC and probably tries not to dwell on it that much.  Hope that million dollar smile wins the whole thing.

OSU split with KU...Unless you are putting Fred Hoiberg, Chris Walker or Rick Barnes up for coach of the year in which case
