Nope he wasn't, and nobody on our team right now is. We are at the top of the Big 12, so suck it Beems

Wrong again.  Gipson was top 150.  So was Southwell.  Rodriguez had offers to Louisville, NC State, and Miami (FL) and was recruited nationally.  Nino Williams was a 4-star.  Maybe do some research on your own team next time.

Dang Beems. What did Gipson have for breakfast this morning? Don't look now but your obsession is showing.

Huh?  All you have to do is go to Rivals.com and look at the commitment lists for K-State.

I can't believe you don't have anything better to do today, Beems. There's a MudFest in Portland today. You should check it out: Mud Fest for lovers of cars and dirt

1st team - Smart, McClemore, Withey, McGruds, Jackson
2nd team - Angel, Osby, Brown, Ejim, Clyburn

POY - Rod (if K-State shares) or McClemore (if KU outrights).
COY- oscar.

I can't believe you're so concerned with my personal life.  FWIW, I saw Toro y Moi on Thursday night (amazing show), so it's been a long weekend.  Today's a great day to just kick back and troll some butthurt K-State fans.

No way Rod is Big 12 POY.  Travis Ford will be COY if Oklahoma State wins in Stillwater.

Ford is likely to lose in Ames. oscar has COY locked unless the Cats lose to TCU.

Good.  Hopefully COY will buy him another 5-10 years.

Good form Ben but numbers don't always prove how "valuable" someone is

this thread reminds me of a few years ago when i would read ku messageboard threads about ku bball players and the ku bball team, and their posters were so stupid that i would know more about their players and team than 99% of them did.

True, which is why I think Angel is more valuable than Rod.  If we're basing Big 12 POY on the most valuable player, then it's gotta be Jeff Withey.  He's averaging 13.6 ppg, 8.6 rpg, and 4.0 bpg while shooting over 56% and over 70% from the free throw line.  There's no one else in the conference that can match him defensively (and yes, he is excellent defensively despite the butthurt K-State myth that he gets away with a lot of fouls).

I don't disagree with any of that, but McLemore gets the attention. And for us, Rod gets the attention. And for OSU, Smart gets it.

Either way, its probably one of those 3.

i agree.  if we're choosing who the most important player is, i'd prolly go withey, art, smart.  my earlier post was based on predicting who would actually be chosen big 12 poy, not who should be.
