Unfair to say that he is "used" in 12-16% possessions, imo.  What does that mean anyway?

Percentage of possessions used (%Poss): A measure of personal possessions used while the player is on the court. Simply assigns credit or blame to a player when his actions end a possession, either by making a shot, missing a shot that isn’t rebounded by the offense, or committing a turnover.

Well for a guy that is often passing up shots he should take without thinking about it, only to pass the ball to someone who isn't open for a shot, this isn't surprising when defined that way.

Not be losing to No. Colorado and getting trucked by Georgetown?

Fair enough.  But, not talking about on-the-court results.  Obvs, bad losses will damper a fan base's excitement, regardless of coach.

I'm talking to the portion of the fanbase who won't tune in because oscar isn't the character that Frank is.  Zags and GW beatdowns were kinda meh because oscar wasn't Frank during the game.

it is what it is, i guess.  and I know it's early.  But we've got a young team that's been pretty exciting to watch the past month.

I'm just astonished that somebody couldn't be entertained by either the GW or Zaga games because the coach isn't colorful enough.  I mean, I get all of the oscar/Frank national exposure stuff.  Frank's antics were a lightning rod for national coverage.  It was great for our program.

But, we are we are and the team is fun to watch.  I don't really know what else oscar could be doing.  Would Tad Boyle have been more exciting on the sideline?

No but oscar Pearl would have been.

Is this oscar's best recruiting class ever? It appears it is.

Seems like Bread agreed with this a little while ago and went as far as to say Foster was his second best recruit ever in his opinion.

I thought Bread said he was the best.

Secnd best.  oscar had five star recruit and lottery pick Meyers Leonard, who is now with Portland Trail Blazers.

I said best, but I was thinking college career.  Both Leonard and Richmond were much higher rated and in terms of raw talent and ability were both better than Foster imo.  Neither accomplished much of anything in college though.  Leonard left early on potential and Richmond flamed out due to being a crazy person.

McCamey and Paul were oscar's two best college players.  McCamey was very good.  If he had had a primary scoring wing with him he would have been unstoppable.  Even as the number one option on some undertalented teams he put up strong numbers.
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.

I believe it means he dribbles aimlessly in a circle around the free throw line and then passes to another player?  :dunno:

I've generally been tuning in for games but quickly zoning out.  I spent a chunk of yesterday's game looking up Marriott and BA options for places I could blow some of my category 1-5 free nights and low avios flights to go eat dinner somewhere new.

me too.  i went to the gw game, and even mostly tuned that out, even though i was actually in the arena.  i think it has a lot more to do with me than the on-court product though.

It is kind of surprising that he still turns it over that little knowing he rarely takes a shot.

What is different about being at games this year and last under oscar?
Who is acting differently? What demographic? How many people in that arena read goEMAW?

I loved the stuff Frank brought, but I really enjoy watching this team.

Foster, Thomas, Shane, Westicles, Gip, Nigel, even DJamer. Heck, even Will when he hits a three.

I like these guys.

I don't think people just liked watching Frank's teams more because of Frank's antics on the bench. His teams were fun to watch because of the style of play.

To be fair, he's a great defender/rebounder.  He's just terrible at scoring/ball skills.

Look, every single person alive on planet earth agrees that oscar Weber is a HUGE awkward dork, and makes everyone cringe at the very sight of him. The sun is hot, ice is cold.

But, he is also proving to be some kind of December basketball turd polisher...two data points in a row equal a trend.

As a result of this two year trend,  we must now suspend "burn-it-down" as long as oscar keeps polishing.  Of course the instant that he falters, we must pounce with furious rage.  go cats.

one of the most common assumptions fans make, when observing a player who is clearly and obviously bad at part of the game, is that he must be symmetrically good at another aspect of the game.
