Easy, killer. The one in Leawood is just as close to PV as the one in KCK (yes, dumbass, the original is in KCK). :dubious:

The z-man is the best bbq sandwich you can get in the world. Jack stack has the best baked beans. Gates is the place I have to tell tourists to avoid the most.  Why did this thread also turn into a bbq thread? Oh well.

Don't you dare speak poorly of Ok Joes. For shame.

As a PV resident, I will always prefer original over new Leawood location. Something about the gas fumes make it better.

Edwardsville, Bonner Springs, Olathe, Shawnee = KU strongholds.  K-State even or better in the rest of the 'burbs on the Kansas side.

Mission Hills, Prairie Village, Leawood, Lenexa, and Overland Park are all KU stomping grounds.  Olathe and Shawnee are K-State all the way.

The KC metro has really changed since you moved to the Pacific Northwest bud. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Was Prairie Village a squawk's nest in 1997? For sure, but this isn't 1997.

Pfffftttt... all you have to do is breathe on a KU grad, and before you know it, you're in Prairie Village eating brisket and drinking Boulevard IPA's.

Where in PV would they be eating brisket?

This. When have you been "hey, bro...I want some brisket. Let's go to PV." :flush:

Spoken like someone who has never had amazing KC bbq while drinking microbrews.

Let's not act like boulevard isn't one of the cheapest micros around

I mean, I love Boulevard, it's my hometown beer, but it's not like it's an Abbey Ale.

Ok Joes is just ok BBQ.
It's BBQ for suburban white people who are afraid of black people.
Ok Joes is bland BBQ for bland people.... like those from PV.

Well, a lot of people will say, "Where is the best bbq in KC? We heard Gates!"
Then I have to :dubious: them and send them elsewhere.

Downtown has become very EMAW and in need of a central gathering bar. Typical kstate money blowing dinner places don't turn on the sound to game.

Last night got many a fist bump from the EMAW beads being worn for mardi gras.
