The sad thing is there are tons of Fusker Football fans that are also Ku basketball fans.   And then there are fans that are not "real sports fans" that will cheer for KU in hoops and NU in football.

When you are EMAW, there is no rooting for another local team because you suck in a sport.

I haven't seen a nebraska shirt in the metro in probably 4 years.

Edwardsville, Bonner Springs, Olathe, Shawnee = KU strongholds.  K-State even or better in the rest of the 'burbs on the Kansas side.

Mission Hills, Prairie Village, Leawood, Lenexa, and Overland Park are all KU stomping grounds.  Olathe and Shawnee are K-State all the way.

The KC metro has really changed since you moved to the Pacific Northwest bud. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Was Prairie Village a squawk's nest in 1997? For sure, but this isn't 1997.

Pfffftttt... all you have to do is breathe on a KU grad, and before you know it, you're in Prairie Village eating brisket and drinking Boulevard IPA's.

Where in PV would they be eating brisket?

My neighbor had a KU flag up for a bit around Christmas. Now it's been replaced by a Sporting KC one.

Its a progression for a certain type of person in KC. In the 80s they were Royals fans, in the 90s they were Chiefs fans, in the 2000s they were ku hoops fans, and in the 2010s they are Sporting fans. Most will never look back.

Well, I mean, once I reached a certain level of income, it just made sense to move near all the EMAWs in PV. :dunno:

I know some KSU fans in the poor parts of town, but they are philanthropists and missionaries and social workers.

Good call.  With all of those KU bball fans converting to SKC hooligans, it's no wonder they decided to tear Waids down.  Shame.  It was a classy joint.

Not sure how Beems has such a grasp on current Kansas City happenings given that he went from Topeka to Lawrence to Oregon.

The poors have no sense of culinary pairing, I can confirm. Watching the game with some good K-Staters and a couple of dirty Jayhawks on Monday, on the Facebook invite the KU fan said he was going to bring crab cakes and moonshine, what a dipshit.
