And if he does, as terrible of a person as he is, at least he genuinely believes in American Exceptionalism and putting American interested first. Lots of vegans utilize a multitude of products with animal ingredients, like leather. Most of them also feed their cats cat food.

You don't know enough vegans to make that claim. I know one true vegan, a Christian conservative btw, he did it for dietary reasons, not anything to do with animal welfare.
