It seems to me that in order for changes in gun policy to truly preempt acts such as this, we would have to effectively get rid of guns. But, whatever meager political battles there are to be won w/r/t gun policy, they would fall far short of that, as they ought to. Why are we not more focused on mental health issues as a national priority? It seems to me that no politician wants to talk about it, and very little is being done to address this issue--an issue that manifests itself in all kinds of ways, including addiction, homelessness and crime (violent and nonviolent). We should prioritize it. But, it seems taboo to even mention it as a rebuttal to the gun and racial talking points that crop up in the wake of these tragedies.
Thank the Lord brokensky here cracked this nut. More help for these people. Let's case closed this bitch and suck some brew ponies off.
In the last 24 hours there were terrorist attacks on 3 different continents killing at least 37 people and the U.S. passed the right for gay marriage nationally. And all some of you bigoted assholes can talk about is how you skew the teachings of Jesus to hide your fear of something. Wake up people, there's real issues in this world and I'll give you a hint, who your neighbor is marrying isn't one of them.
a black guy told me that was his favorite racist joke (slightly different tho)
I thought we agreed to only use Kermit sipping tea?
