The worst person in the world to travel with is like a really egotistical know-it-all control freak hot head computer dork.  Trust me.

No. I work in sales and I can tell you that egotistical know-it-all control freak hot head sales people are the worst to travel with. The trip home is the worst because you have to listen to some fabricated story of some hot chick they picked up the night before and banged in their hotel room.

Would rather your conversation to be about how Apple is evil, but Google is even more evil?  Literally had ZERO in common with this guy.  Couldn't talk sports, outdoors, politics, nothing.

Maybe you should learn carry on a conversation about things that aren't sports, outdoors, or politics.

:dunno:

Yeah, you should try religion instead. Ask him where he goes to church.

Got an opportunity to go to brazil on Thursday but don't have a visa there. Feels bad, man.

You should have gotten one.
takes 2 weeks to get a new one. Can't get one without a trip scheduled because you need to enter within 45 days of applying.

you can expedite.  we sent an engineer to Brazil last year for a customer.

China is fun too....we've had several workers there working in a tire plant.      They really enjoy the culture.

Looks like I'll be heading back out to San Fran next week. I would live there in heartbeat if it weren't so crazy expensive.

but seriously, I'm going to fidlar and pangea and I'm not ashamed to stand next to people from Kansas in what is sure to be a hipster-filled event.

Appreciate it, michcat. If i make it, i will bring you a purple rose and offer it to you bachelor-style.  Hipster band could be a tough sell to my company of manly men though.

You mean old men.

But not enough more... at least not for the companies my wife and I work for.

Simply adjust your expectations for housing and you can make it work. Come on! We'll have lots of fun!

When I was just a little youngter my and my mom would go on business trips she would always bring back a little knick knack or souvineer from whatever place she went to. My favorite one was a little mini replica of the Sky Dome in Toronto when it first opened.

I thought this was a nice jesture and have continued this. I'll usually bring back a Tshirt of a local team or something and give it to a GF or my roomate.

ya exactly.  when my buddy moved to hermosa beach, he just had to adjust to not having a kitchen and living in a 400 sq foot studio and using a dorm fridge.

you could also live under a bridge anywhere along the 405 for free, just need to adjust those expectations.

Got stuck in the corporate condo instead of the Hyatt Regency.  And a middle seat on Virgin. :(
