I really think Sams is going to be the man after this next week.
I was feeling that in the 4th qrt when snyder was like "eff if it wasn't for special teams and a d score we're a score down and jake and his coordinators are pissing me off" and put in Sams to ICE it.

I enjoy the notion from our fans that the coaches are clearly making the right choice with Waters, but morons calling plays for him.

Is it because we can blame Dimel for the play calling and give Snyder credit for playing the right QB? It's all just so bizarre.

I do want to see something with both on the field and I think we will.

I don't,  Daniel is a quarterback and a damn good one. He isn't SLamur, he's earned the right to not be used as some gimmicky slash back or wildcat back, just as Jake has.

So it appears that in order for everyone to get to enjoy watching CATS games on my account, we're going to need to get CatMatt to retract his copyright claim against me and get my account back in good standing.  Otherwise, I can't upload 15+ minute videos.  Everyone reach out to CatMatt and have him make this right for EMAW's sake.

nobody anywhere has argued that waters is CLEARLY the right choice.

There have been plenty that don't have a problem with Waters a starting and taking most snaps.

Many retards have said Waters is CLEARLY the right choice because Snyder chose him.

I get people wanting Sams to start. I don't get making Waters the football version of Sprads.

:dunno:
True, I don't want something awful to happen to Waters like I do Sprads.

The defenders are treating Waters more like Sprads than the pro-Sams crowd.

Is the fact that the coaches continue to pick Jake over Daniel a statement to the coaches failing to do their job well considering how much time they've had to work with each?  :surprised:

This thread makes me sad. I wish we could all stop bickering about QB and just agree that the real reason we're gonna struggle to get 6 Ws is that our D, and to a lightly lesser extent our O-Line and RB, suck balls and taint.

I also think we're going to need to play Sams more because we simply must have a better running game to chew up yards and clock, especially when our D is just so unbelievably soft. Like a warm, soft turd. But damn, I just really wanted to watch TLABL rack up 200 yards a game snagging pass after beautiful laser-like precision pass. If the passer can't run for crap, it just won't matter.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

yeah, but there's really nothing we can do about our D in the near term. it's not like we are sitting some key stud defensive player on the bench in favor of some lesser defensive player (that I know of anyway).

The defense is giving up about the same yards per play as they were last year, give or take a few inches.  The only difference is that this year, we're -2 on turnovers after two games as opposed to +4.

Missouri State was a really bad offense last year, and we gave up 414 yards.  It's just that, during that game, we only gave up 9 points, so folks didn't panic as much.

LaLa was a top ten team last year in terms of yards per play on offense, and they have a pretty strong dual threat QB.  We held them to under 400 yards, and the first half was pretty dominant, defensively.

The defense is getting scapegoated pretty hard right now, and they aren't nearly as bad as everyone thinks they are, at least statistically.  We just don't have an Arthur Brown running around out there making us look really good.

Also, Waters is turning the ball over too much, and that's putting us in bad spots.

Yeah, but I don't think Waters is necessarily a "lesser player" - he's just lesser in what we need, running ability, because others aspects of our game are so shitty. That's the frustrating thing about this QB bickering.

Wait, wut? So they look good on paper, they just rough ridin' suck when it counts, like stopping key third downs, but that's not really their fault because we don't have a stud LB? What does that even mean? The D either sucks or it doesn't. Answer: it sucks.

They are not as opportunistic as the last defense.

Yeah. The D gave up 10 points to Lafayette. The special teams gave up 7 and Waters gave up 10.

Waters gave up 7.  The first one was on Miller, man.  That was just really bad receiving right there.  It hit him in the face.

It's not on the defense, regardless. They played a nice game against a pretty good offense. If we could have limited turnovers offensively and controlled the clock better, the defense would have been even better.
