Sean is up for special teams awards this year, iirc.

Seems like someone would like that.   :dunno:

Hayes has past management experience and put together an ok D for half a year after a stud exodus.

Del can win 7 games while not even playing the best QB on the team.

Seems like we are ripe for defection guys.

yeah but what AD would want a coach from a 7-5 team that lost to a d2 school? Its pretty clear our coaches crap the bed this year in terms of player management and play calling. I understand the previous success but i doubt there are too many knocks on the door plus i think this staff is thinking bigger picture for next year

It had better be Del and/or Dana. I like everyone else.

If Del and Dana leave, we should give Wolford and Mangino looks, imo.

That would be amazing. Just imagine how good Sams could be running the system Mangino put together for Reesing.

If they actually go after them, there might be a decent chance, Wolford is a grad and Mangino is his associate HC, could be a package deal.  Also could groom Wolford to be HCIW if he is good enough.   :crossfingers:

Currie should just go ahead and fire them and then tell Bill he has hired Wolford/Mangino and doesn't care what Bill thinks about that.

I hope Bill would be the one to actually do it.  Currie probably doesn't even know who they are lol.

LOL at the notion of him leaving Youngstown for anything less than an OC stint here that ultimately lead to a promise for HCIW, which we will never do because Bill wants that to be Sean.

We can't have a succession plan because Bill wants Sean, and no one else does.  Also, Bill's probably not going to want to get into a situation like his buddy Bobby Bowden got into where they pushed him out because Jimbo was getting happy feet.

I'm very pro-Mangino on staff, though.  Let's hire him if Dana or Del retires (which they won't).

If this is true, how on god's green earth does Bill think he can get Sean the HC job?

I mean, the thought of Bill even asking Currie about who he hires is kind of difficult to believe.

I heard that Currie wanted Leavitt, but Snyder didn't because he assumed he would be given the HCIW title. Have not heard anything on Mangino, but it's weird that he saw us play in Miami. Would take as OC but I never ever want him as HC.
