Someone makes a bad post, they run.  They make a bad post again, all the browns run with them.  They make a third bad post and clams runs.  Clams doesn't like to run.  Nuff said.
Just was a very interesting if true post.  :surprised:

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Lions are interested in Chiefs WRs coach David Culley to fill their offensive coordinator vacancy.

Culley, 58, has never been an offensive coordinator at any level. He's currently the assistant head coach and receivers coach with the Chiefs. Previously, he coached the Eagles' receivers under Andy Reid from 1999-2012. In Detroit, Culley would likely be more of a caddy to Jim Caldwell. Another name mentioned by Rapoport for the Lions OC gig is Rutgers OC Ron Prince.

Saw something the other day on this. Caldwell acknowledged he was going to hire Prince, but not as OC.   :dunno:

I should have gone into coaching.  I know nothing about it, but it seems that once you land your first gig, you are employed for the rest of your life, no matter how terrible you are at your job.

Looks like another coach may bite the big one in 2014.

Is 2014 Dana Holgorsen's final year with West Virginia?

Yes, he will be fired after the season
41.6%

No, he will be retained for a final chance in '15
26.8%

No, the team will show improvement
31.5%

Total votes: 1,460

The only assistant remaining from Holgorsen's first year is offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson.

Holding on to an entire coaching staff is difficult. Coaches come and go for a variety of reasons. That said, it would be delusional not to see that coaching turnover has been an issue for Holgorsen. New faces are coaching new faces. Many veteran players will be under the direction of their second or third different position coach.

Additionally, player depth has been a problem for the Mountaineers since joining the Big 12 in 2012. It was especially problematic last season when the defense, noticeably improved at first, began wearing down midway through the year. Injuries, some season-ending, took out key players like safeties Wes Tonkery and K.J. Dillon and linebacker Jared Barber.

That's not traditionally a formula for success.

I mean, I really don't want to compare him to a certain black coach we all know very well, but did anyone read all of step 3? :sdeek:
