In the same reports around Kiffin going to Bama as OC, there is also talk of them hiring Freddie Kitchens as OC
Either of these are awesome, as in hilarious for those of us who don't root for 'Bama, as I'm not sure the fans could stomach either one. Kiffin is a national level bafoon, but Kitchens is a former Bama qb that was known for having no touch on his passes at all. He would throw a screen as hard as he possibly could (he had a monster arm). He lost a game at Auburn that 'Bama had locked up, but a RB fumbled a ball late and we kicked a FG to win (I was there!). He later broke down crying on the team bus.
The fans were not in love with him like they have been with the last handful of qbs.
Kitchens has been the TE and QB coach at Arizona, in the NFL, since '07. Not sure that is a ringing endorsement. I had no clue he was a coach at all.
