I think Franklin ends up at Penn State.

Coming from Vanderbilt is probably appealing to the segment of PSU that still wants Joe Pa's "grand experiment."

More likely him than Schiano, IMO.

Groundswell of support since he's a PA native.  Recruited that area at Maryland.  It's probably a good fit.

The Cleveland Browns are very interested in interviewing Auburn coach Gus Malzahn and Vanderbilt coach James Franklin for their head coaching vacancy, according to league sources, and are expected to hire Jim Schwartz as defensive coordinator.

I would like it if my NFL team hired one if those guys instead of some version of Jack del Rio.

I saw a article yesterday where someone talked to multiple ACC coaches and they were worried of Franklin going to PSU with his ties to the area.  One quote from a coach was take the best 15 players from the region that come here and other league schools and send then to Penn State.

I just don't see Penn State taking an "outsider."  I think there is no way they hire someone who didn't either play or coach with Paterno.

That's exactly why I am guessing that they will not go with a Non-Penn-State-Guy.

That's pretty dumb. Not saying they won't think like that, but it's still pretty dumb.

I think the Paterno cult got a lot smaller after the molestation stuff.

I could be wrong.

The University may want to go in a different direction for that reason.

Also pretty dumb, but at least Snyder hasn't covered up child molestation. (That we know of).
