i dated a girl for a while that i met online, and told friends/family etc, that we met at school. that was a while ago though, and some of that stigma has been lost.

she actually did meet me/friends/my family, so i dunno. i'm just saying i can understand it if he lied to people that he had met her initially in person.

at lot of this story is just WTF though.

Well, the good news then is that he can simply show his cell phone records that reflect those 8 hour calls while she was undergoing chemo and they fell asleep both on the phone and he woke up to hear her breathing. Easy as hell to do. I mean, easier than easy.

i think it's easier to believe that he's a dumbass who got duped and lied about it than it is to believe the whole thing was an elaborate hoax set up by a kid with downs to get media attention.

Kind of leaning towards #1 right now but who the hell knows. Either way I have to take my phone charger to work tomorrow because I'll be on twitter the whole day

At the beginning I couldn't see any way that he didn't know about it, but the tweet records from @justinrmegahan have flipped me. The interesting part will be piecing together how much he embellished things for attention and how much coverup was happening during the last month.
