non sequiturs aside, if you don't think that google can offer sub-market rates on broadband internet service because they're selling all of the information that they collect from you using their internet and television service to marketing companies, and then using that revenue to offset any potential loss they sustain from the internet/tv business, then you're dumb

Funny you mentioned that....they just responded to another email from me and said that I should check out the KC star article from Friday, in which they note that Google regularly requires cities to agree to a non-disclosure during negotiations.....I took it to mean they are negotiating with Google right now.

kc has nothing to do w/ it.  google subcontracts it all out- which hasn't been going so great for them in the kc market

I get that.  I'm  assuming that they are going to have the same kind of delays in Austin.  I'm trying to get an idea of how long it's going to take to cover the area once they get going.

James: We aren't yet scheduling installations in the ***** Homes North fiberhood. The deadline to register for service is 6/27. After that, construction begins. Construction includes finishing any infrastructure construction, running the fiber to the outside of all the houses that registered, then finally scheduling the in-home installation. The outside installations will start by late July. The in-home installations will start by mid August.
