Gundy recruits incredibly well because he recruits the best players in America to run his system. You cannot argue with his results.

you could say the same thing about Snyder but nobody ever does.  Gundy is a good coch he's done a good job he's not going to have OSU in the top 10 every year though.  The talent on the team this year doesn't square with the expectations.

Snyder used to be an incredible recruiter, but he no longer is able to get the kind of recruits he used to.

OSU's QB knew the offense so well he taught it to his new OC in the off season.  This year, they have a true frosh QB.  Either they got super lucky in their QB recruiting, or they will drop off this year.  Not saying they will suck, but to say that a frosh will replace Weeden with no drop off is Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).  Like, really Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

Not disagreeing, but it's not like they're stuck with a true frosh.  If he starts, it's because he beat out a rs-junior in Chelf who has played mop up duty the past two seasons.  Plus Lunt is pretty rough ridin' good even for a true frosh: A two-time state champion in Illinois...Missed the early portion of his senior season with injury but returned to throw for 3,650 yards and 31 touchdowns and just four interceptions while completing 73 percent of his throws ... Set a state record with a 590-yard passing game ... Also holds Illinois high school records for passing yards and completions in a state championship game ... Over his last two seasons he amassed more than 7,000 passing yards, had 65 touchdown passes and just eight interceptions.  He can rough ridin' sling it.

Certainly some drop off is to be expected though.  Weeden was a grown ass man.

Just for the record, nobody here really thinks OSU had a good defense last year, right? Because that would make you a dumbass.

Clearly trending up.  Looks like more than 10 wins this season.  That's just simple math there.

That happens when you're approaching 75 and the recruits seriously doubt you're going to be around much longer.

Seriously had no idea they played football in the state if Illinois.  Knowing this true freshman is from Illinois, I'm fairly certain we beat osu by 21.

Some no-team-affiliation tuck just interrupted me checking out at the grocery store to 1) tell me I had a whole lot of purple on (I was wearing black gym shorts and the free purple Big 12 shirt the DUs gave all the MOAP'rs that one time) and 2) that he can't believe K-State got picked 6th in the conference.  Told him that seemed about right, and he didn't talk to me anymore.

This season for OSU parallels KSU in 2001.  The program was rolling, returning talent at number of spots and a talented young QB taking over.....

They probably wanted to talk to you and tell you how disrespectful it is for KSU to be picked 6th and that they loved you, you know, with the whole random colorado shooting and all that.

They used some form of the word "disrespect" in our conversation about 20 times.
