places 4-6 are interchangeable in points so 4th is extremely likely.

Eff it...I say WVU and TCU choke hard (doesn't know how to handle the deep throat necessary for the big 12).

I say we finish 2nd/3rd.  Texas will lose to us at BSFS and OU will suck one game away, much like Rex Ryan would to Lolo Jones's virgin foot.

This list is bullshit. It should be

1. OU
2. Texas
3. OSU
4. KSU
5. WVU
6. TCU
7. Tech
8. Baylor
9. ISU
10. KU

These media types always get it wrong.

TCU is the new A&M, I guess. Lots of hype and nothing coming to fruition.

OSU is going choke up so many INTs this year, OSU could be broken my the end of the year. TCU, WVU, and KU coaching staffs are going to be pulling their hair out at the end due to BIG 12 scheming.

1. KSU (Bill's greatest team)
2. UT (Defense wins games)
3. OU (Offseason turmoil is going to derail their season)
4. Baylor (Surprise team runs the ball effectively)
5. WVU (Cockiness leads to poor offseason)
6  OSU (Talent team that makes a ton of mistakes)
7. TCU (BIG 12 seasons wears them down)
8. TECH (Tuberville's last year at tech)
9. ISU (flood aggie does what flood aggie does)
10. KU (worst BCS roster ever)

UT has two crap options at QB and nothing behind them.

They belong below us.

This. Their defense is damn good but without a QB I just don't see them finishing as high as predicted.

Texas has by far the best defense in the Big 12. David Ash was a freshman last year. I think it's safe to say he will be much better going forward. They are going to be very tough to beat.

Flip OU & UT, BAY & WVU and ISU & TECH and you arrive at something close to my best guess

Picked 6th this year in the Big 12...

Tough to pick against OU's road soft road sched with only 2 against the top half of the league in WVU and TCU.  Both tough road games are against newcomers and OU will have a ton of fans at the TCU game (especially if B12 fb ball proves to be a tough adjustment for TCU as it is the season finale).

I can't see finishing behind OSU and UT considering we have both at home and the relative QB play of each projects to have.  I see 2nd place behind OU with 7-2 in conference after losing to OU and splitting the TCU/WVU road games, outside chance at  BCS at large.

Being picked 6th seems so much worse when you realize that the Big 12 has 10.

Texas could run the ball every play and still finish in the top half. They're loaded across the board with the exception of QB.

No we didn't. Getting lucky in football is pretty rare. I would say the team was lucky 2 years ago against UCF when that guy fell down with leg cramps when he had a touchdown otherwise. Nothing like that happened last year at any point. The team stepped up and made big time plays when they had to time after time. That's not luck. That's skill.

I think the Vegas line has a lot more to do with the percentage of our offense Klein provides and the amount of punishment he took last season than it does some analysis that draws the experts to conclude we were lucky. They think Klein will not make it through the season and then we have a true freshman and a redshirt freshman backing him up.

no i'm pretty sure it's because they think we were a fluke last season.

i disagree with them, but i'm pretty sure that's they're reasoning.  i doubt they're banking on CK getting hurt.
