meat mitch does them on saturdays, $40 a pop

the only other place that I know that sells them is jackstack and I wouldn’t recommend that place

if you have a smoker, sam’s and costco sell beef plate ribs and they’re pretty easy to make yourself

I get my meats from local pig. Using a traeger on their streaks, chicken breasts, and pork chops have been a delight.
shopping at local pig. bro you must like lighting money on fire.  its fine for an occasional “hey let’s go blow some cash” type of event/treat

If you are near a fareway market, they will have 4/5 bone plates for 6.99 or 7.99 about once a month and they are easy and awesome.  Usually choice grade

And yes, 4 oz of that meat is all a normal person needs because it's like delicious burnt ends on a stick.

Local pig used to be better.  With a few exceptions, they stopped producing their own and are just a middle man now

I did not realize that beef ribs were so rare (and by that I mean hard to get, not barely cooked!!) in KC.

they’re really expensive for restaurants to buy and cook.  probably twice as expensive per pound as brisket, they take up lots of space on the smoker, and take 6-7 hours to cook.  the opportunity cost is too high.

places in texas serve them on weekends because they have to. if they don’t, their competitors will.

Not cheap but very good.

Lenexa City Center place called Sierra Grill has a giant smoked beef rib that is/was very good.

for what it's worth, everything was efficient last night. the place was pretty much full, except for the bar area.

It was on a Friday months ago before a show so the delay was getting inconvenient. We were about to have them cancel the last dish (over 30 minutes after the previous one) so we could make it on time when it came.  It was delicious.  The server was doing well and then seemed to avoid us once they knew the kitchen was behind.

Hey guys, I don't get to the big cities often but the Mrs. and I have a date night scheduled there in a couple weeks. We recently discussed that neither of us have had beef wellington before. Is there a place in KC that would make such an outlandish dish?

I went to Hell's kitchen in Vegas last month. Earns the hype. Wonderful including the beef Wellington. So I think he has that BW figured out in all his restaurants that serve it

Been to a could of his other places in Vegas that were meh.
