you guys, , you guys.... get a load of this.... i bought tickets to 'Skybox on Sheffield' for the royals-cubs game this saturday.turns out they built a big old Budweiser scoreboard out in right field this year as well.... i thought it was just left field. man what a dumbass i am. look at the view!

Where are you staying? We wanted to go this weekend but some huge convention has a majority of rooms....we couldn't find a room under $400 anywhere close to the city so we decided not to go this time :(

5/19/2015Absolutely don't buy tickets here.Imagine my disbelief when I packed a bus full of 56 paying guests, drove 2hrs, arrived to the "premium skybox on sheffield" and all we could see was back of the Budweiser megatron.Although it is completely out of their control, it's heartbreaking that they would even sell me $5,000+ of tickets and not even mention that this view had or could possibly be compromised which I wouldn't know considering I live over 2hrs away and had bought my tickets over a month prior.Apart from that, the indoor bar was gorgeous as was the rest of the building, which is a shame considering their current situation with no view. Food was mediocre at best, bar selection was good and the staff was outstanding. If they can still stay in business they need to not be charging folks $100+ without letting them know the current situation. A good half of our group ended up leaving and getting tickets, spending additional money to just be able to see.Currently if you go on their website they have absolutely nothing stating that there is construction or that all the pictures of the view they have posted are not current. We were lied to about our obstructed view. You can't see anything that doesn't take place in left field. You'd be better off setting your money on fire, and watching the game on tv. At least the rich vultures wouldn't profit from that. Zero stars, and may God have mercy on your souls
I was really disappointed with our experience at the Lakeview Baseball Club. I know that the billboard was just installed but I would have appreciated being notified by the staff rather than showing up with a business group and being surprised to find it blocking home plate. I will definitely never come back- both because of the view and because I wasn't told in advance by the booking staff. To make things worse I asked several times if there would be anything blocking the view and was lied to. Don't come here.
The view from the Lakeview Baseball club is completely blocked by the new scoreboard that was installed in right field. I understand that the people at the LVBC have no control over the scoreboard, but they severely misrepresented how much of the view was obstructed. My group of 17 was told 2 weeks prior to our event that the only thing that would be blocked was a small corner of the field. I figured we may not be able to see the right fielder, the truth is you can not see the pitcher, batter, 1st base, or right field. One of the members of our groups was so bothered he left the game and watched the game on TV, which was the same view the rest of us had from the bar at LVBC. Having The Cubs screw them is one thing, but to lie to us in order to continue to collect an insane amount of money for a bar cover (that all they are now is an outdoor bar) is completely unacceptable and unethical. Zero stars. Side note the wait/bar staff was quite good considering the situation they were put in.
