Chicago
« on: April 14, 2012, 04:26:57 PM »
So I'm taking the wife for a couple days for our anniversary.  We're staying at the Hilton Chicago (with my Gold Elite perks  :gocho: ) and already have reservations at Joe's (stone crab and bone-in filets  :fatty: ).  What else should we do?

What's the best place to spa downtown?  Looks like maybe mySpa at the Fairmont or the spa at Trump.  Sound right? Any others I should look at?

I'm thinking about maybe one of those touristy cruises.  I've been to Chicago a few times but I've never been on one of those and they kind of look cool.  Any suggestions?  I don't want to be crammed in with a bunch of other smelly tourists, so having plenty of room to maybe walk around the deck would be a big bonus.

What's the best place to eat dinner on the Navy Pier?  Was thinking of maybe going casual and eating at Harry Caray's Tavern.  How's the food there?

Keep in mind we're not renting a car so everything will need to be relatively close to downtown.

Thanks for you input everyone!  :D

Do not eat at the Navy Pier. Eat at the restaurant at the top of the John Hancock building.

Have been a couple of times.  Considered it, but will probably skip on this trip.

If you go to a White Sox game, do NOT buy upper deck tix.  They don't even let you walk down to the lower level to look around.  You are in crap seat jail.

If you go to Wriggly, just buy standing room only, and go in to eat hot dogs and drink beer.

Consult w/KK before releasing the dates.

EDIT: Not ordeal-related.
