Man, Egyptians are massing outside Qubba palace cause they think Morsi is holed up in there. Pro tip: he's not.

I'll admit that the first time I read this, I thought Egyptians thought Morsi was holed up inside a Qdoba.

Because when you're about to be ousted by a coup de tat, you need a large nacho burrito.

What ultimatumn?

There's two. Opposition gave til today then "civil disobedience". Military gave til tomorrow but with vague conditions. Who the eff knows actual US policy. I'm terrible with local politics.

I can't strongly disagree with all of this.

I love how every time there's political unrest in a country like that one of the first orders of business is to suspend the constitution. at some point don't you question whether it even makes sense to waste time writing a constitution?

Do the majority of these people not have jobs?   I know the economy is a major sticking poing, but I can't imagine these protests are helping the economy any.

Can I get a little recap?  They forced out Mubarak, (because he was a US puppet or just a dick?) and then Morsi took over but now, a year later they hate him and want him out also?

The opposition is opposed to a coup. So is the US. So both demand the democratically-elected leader abdicate or otherwise the military will defenestrate him. What's not to understand?

Also, the pyramids are now squares.

Seems like the military generals have control of everything/everyone no matter who is elected.

If you see media reports of an all-out evac, they're not true.

So if this deadline hits, is the military going to threaten to actually kill Morsi or how does all of this work?

yeah couple of possible scenarios here would be nice. maybe in this format:

people involved- action- people who die

Non lethal defenestration, more likely.

There will be clashes at MB strongholds and some young photogenically sympathetic people will die on each side from "live ammunition" and there will be claims of foreign paid "thugs" on each side.

"Defenestration" sounds pretty lethal.

What are their major complaints with Morsi's job performance?

I think there's a lot of grievances, from what I've read, but they don't like the fact that Morsi has given the MB more power than originally thought he would.  I think a lot of other things start to offshoot from there.
