Can't see anything from our place. Just got back from a late brunch (if that's semantically feasible), but as of 11 am or so the area around the embassy and square was pretty much cleaned out. The police made an early morning sweep. But, with one protester dying (albeit from undetermined gunfire) things could very well pick back up once it cools down this evening. Which is kind of a mixed bag. On the downside, renewed protesting (maybe smaller but more violent than before). On the upside, a return to the natural order of things with them protesting against their own gov.
Also, a brief summary of my memo to copt leaders:
STFU. A counter protest would not help things here and would probably just lead things to your neighborhood. Good luck getting Egyptian police to help out on that.
