Just to reiterate, assume that you were a happy person without a great personal tragedy that you can blame at least partly (rational or not) on the scummy streets of Cairo.  Also let's pretend Cairo was a super fun place full of happy things.  It still sucks compared to Tel Aviv, right?

rough ridin' Tel Aviv every day of the week (even when everything Jewish shuts down and you can't do crap).  Tel Aviv is great.  It's like Miami minus all the bad crap.
