Going to put a hole in an interior wall & add a door.

Do you have to have someone come mark spots on the wall where the wires are? Like they do when someone's planning to dig?

It’s right next to another door. We have a game room upstairs with a bathroom. The bathroom has a large closet to the left when you walk in. The problem is the bathroom closet door opens into the closet, so you can’t put anything big on the floor because door is in the way. I’m going to put a door that goes directly from the game room into the closet that opens into the game room so I can put a couple single mattresses in the closet. We don’t have basements where I live & we don’t have a dedicated guest room. My parents like to sleep upstairs anyway when they visit because I’m they have their own bathroom & it’s like a little apartment up there. There’s no outlets or switches on the wall I’m putting the door in. But I will switch the breaker to the upstairs off & put a hole in the middle of the closet side drywall and take a look in the wall before I go crazy just to be safe.

There are slightly more expensive studfinders that can find wires for you if you need it.
It's not that hard to remove drywall without hitting wires.

A buddy rented a cherry picker and did some tree work himself about 10 years ago and it went about as you would expect. One limb crashed down and damaged the corner of the house.

Another limb they were trying lower with a rope/pulley and I watched his dad and stepdad fly 10ft in the air/side while holding the rope. It was like watching Superman fly.

Was anyone hurt?  I need to know how hard I can laugh at this.
No one was hurt thankfully but these were 60 years old men getting thrown around.

I got this tool chest/table from my brother a couple of years ago and the key was broken off in the lock. It was never an issue and always unlocked until yesterday when we moved it... somehow in transit it got into the lock position.

We drilled out the key hole then ended up having to sawzaw all around it so we could reach in and manually turn the locking mechanism.

Felt like a real manly man afterwards.
