This tree limb broke and died during some storms this summer. The end of the branch is partially lodged in another tree in the corner of the yard but it would all fall in the backyard if I could just get it down and then chainsaw it up.
Last weekend I looped a rope around it multiple places and tugged it in all different directions but I couldn't get it to break/fall.
There are no power lines in danger and no small children etc that may be playing underneath the limb so my plan is to just wait for it to weaken a little more then start pulling on it again to see if I can send it crashing down...or maybe a big storm rolls through and it takes care of itself.
Good idea? Bad idea? Any advice on how to get the limb down?
