Guys, here the thing about sales.  Most ppl I know in sales are not passionate about their product, they are passionate about the sale/process of selling.  Passion is kinda silly to me when it comes to work.  I would venture to say that most ppl aren't passionate about their job or the work their company does.  They like it enough, but passion goes too far.

I'm not sure this is entirely accurate. I hate working some days because there are a thousand other things to be doing instead, but about 95% of the time, I really do love my job and enjoy the people that I work with.

If you think fanning is telling you the whole story, you're a dumbass.  A recent Phoenix MBA grad with no meaningful experience doesn't get paid "100k" to sell "software" in KC.

You lost me at Phoenix MBA...

Great news, buddy. Don't forget your friends when you're famous or turning in your laptop.

my guess is that this company somewhat churns and burns through under thirty year old sales people like wacky. wacky-how old and how long had people with the same position as you, been with the company? i also remember wacky talking about some people being fired right after he showed up so my hunch is that might not be that uncommon of a thing there. it just happens there.

i also agree that it was a horrible job of hiring, if in five months in they suddenly became surprised with what they were getting out of our guy. if there is one person in the world that is an open book, it's wacky. he'll land on his feet though and this was a good experience for him in general.

Yeah. I talked to one of my buds who's only been there for 2 years and he said he's seen a lot of ppl come and go and it's common there.

Huge turnover in inside sales, buddy. Most people are looking at inside sales to be a stepping stone to outside sales.

Anyways, Halloween party this Friday. I told my friends I wasn't going after Tuesday, but now I'm reconsidering. Dressing up as Cookie Monster with a jar full of cookies averages 1 filly every Halloween.
*This is averaged out based on the Halloween I took home the black and white swan. Should I go and get crazy?

Someone at some point in the future will be talking to them about you for professional reasons.  May be in the interview process or later in the future out of networking coincidence.

I would like to see CNS speak out of turn.

AJ, sorry for the unkind treatment earlier.  Didn't realize you had the name change.

Nope. Recruiting for a college in town. They'll end up paying me way more than UOP ever did. It's perfect timing, they need someone ASAP, and I need a job.
