Calling a guy a bitch is closer to calling a guy a man of taste and distinction than an bad person
I don't make that association perosnally. Calling a man a bitch indicates he's either being a huge pussy or he is in fact bitching too much. It's not homophobic.
When you* call a guy a bitch, you are saying he is being a girl (which you are equating to a bad thing). It's not homophobic, it's misogynistic.
*That's how most guys use it anyway. Don't want to assume that's how you in particular mean it.
I agree with this. If someone is to take offense it should be women not gays. When I say it I think of it in terms of being a whiny, complainy, difficult, pussy of a person. Some of the biggest bitches I've ever met were men. I don't use it often as a noun more as a verb if at all.
1: the female of the dog or some other carnivorous mammals
2:
a: a lewd or immoral woman
b: a malicious, spiteful, or overbearing woman —sometimes used as a generalized term of abuse
3: something that is extremely difficult, objectionable, or unpleasant
4: complaint
So mostly 3 and 4 and a bit of 2b, but never 1 or 2a.
