So you guys know how I was moving out early to get my deposit back guaranteed and a little extra on the side? I put everything in writing last Friday and the property manager accidentially put "move out on July 1st" instead of "July 7th". Anyways this weekend I had to move my folks into their new place on Friday and Saturday and I moved all my big stuff out on that Sunday. I figured I had till the 7th to get the little stuff and I'd get that today. NOPE!

Yesterday during the U.S. soccer game I got a call from a "new property manager". She stated that I had to be out by midnight or they'd start charging me for the rest of the month and go by my original contract of ending my lease on july 31st. I was like: "WTF?! This is bull crap. I got everything cleared with Haley!" She said: "Haley and the group sold over the right to the property on Monday and we don't have any paper work proving that!" 

So I absolutely went off on this girl. She was telling me how I owed her rent and how I was going to lose my deposit. I finally found the paper work garuanteeing me my deposit and no charge for July. I sent it to her and she sent this bull crap:

After reviewing the paperwork you provided, you may turn in keys today, Tuesday, July 1, 2014 without being charged rent per your agreement with Old Town Management.  If you do not turn in your keys by 11:59pm, Tuesday, July 1, 2014 we will not be able to honor the agreement between you and Old Town Management.  You may drop your keys in the drop box located at 316 Delaware.  If your keys are not in the drop box, by 9:00am (when the office opens) on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 we will assume you are not honoring the agreement with Old Town Management, and you will pay the prorated amount per day, plus any applicable cleaning fees, until keys are turned into current management.

Anyways, with no electricity and no air conditioning last night, Ms. Wacky and I had to move everything out before the sun set. I mean, I through away all kinds of crap. Year books, K-Stateo stuff, smoker, shitty golf clubs, etc. I just moved all my needed boxes into her place. It was a crazy bullshit experience.

So tonight, we need to unpack the rest. I'm picking us up some oklahoma joes and her favorite wine. Anything else I should do since she saved the day while I was at work?

I tried at first, but then she told me to pretty much eff off and pay my rent in 5 days after I had already shut everything down. I went full beast mode after that. Dug up the letter that provided the deal, called the former property manager, etc. She wasn't having it until I stuck the paper in front of her face!

It was supposed to say the 7th. I was ok with getting out that night, but she was trying to ignore the guarantee of the direct deposit and the extra $400 to move out early. It was all on paper. She finally agreed to it once I put it in front of her.

I appreciate that. I have July 7th in all my emails, but the final document she sent out to me on Friday said July 1st. She said she did that "by mistake". Either way, I got out by the deadline, I just didn't want to miss out on the deal we had agreed on.
