I think the HIMYM reference was too edgy for some on this board

free lake trip? what's better

So Ms. Wacky's friend wants us to go to her lake house this weekend (she has a kid, this will make sense later) and everyone is backing out and Ms. Wacky just wrote this to her.  It makes me look like a total bad person.  :frown:

Ok so I am sure you are swamped but you never responded on FB so I just thought I would write you a quick email
I was texting with Allison and she told me she would be down to still go without Jake and JD or reschedule (which will never happen this year)

WC08 would still go down but was wondering if Laurel (daughter) would now be coming with the change of events….I have to give him some props for being ok to be with three girls weekend but understand he’s not a huge fan of kids…he just won’t come down which isn’t a deal breaker.

Here’s the deal. I probably won’t be able to leave early at all from work on Friday which was originally fine because WC08 and I would drive down together whenever I was able to get off work and get out downtown.

There’s just whole bunch of if ands or buts right now and it sucks since we had planned on a sequel to our first weekend down there!

I would say it’s safe to cancel Luke just so he can go ahead and work his other job or whatever.

When you get a chance let me know your thoughts.
I won’t be around until 6:30 or so tonight. Have to workout and I never know when I’ll get out of here anymore.

Sorry your week seems to be a cluster F***.  All I am trying to do is figure out my weekend plans as well….not annoy you?

I didn't really know where to put this. She fowarded it to me like "hope it's ok I used you as an out, to leave her kid at home" email. I don't get those too often. She also forwarded me an email yesterday of her friends trying to plan my 30th with a BBQ. I was kinda like "I don't think I was suppose to see that, dork. Haha.  :Ugh:"

So are you still going if the kid doesn't go? That lady is going to be a bitch to you all weekend.

Ha. She's pretty cool, but I could see that setting her off. I had planned on it. A free weekend at the lake? Sure. However, there will be lots of alcohol consumed if it turns awkward.

Assuming the lake is actually the Ozarks (as it should be because anyone in KC who says they're going to the lake, better be referring to the Ozarks), you can always just go try your luck at Shady Gators... I hear it's a treat this time of year. Party for everyone who attends.

That's a very rude email, and she shouldn't have used you as an "out".

I mean if you break it down, like every line is negative and/or rude, even without throwing you under the bus. T's & P's, wacky.

I know they're bff's and they talk like that to eachother all the time, but still. I was like "you kind of used me to see if she was bringing her kid and I kind of look like a dick in that emal" and she was like "No way. She tottaly gets it." And I was like "Ha. Ok."  :Ugh:

of course she did, i would not have said that was okay. makes you look like you hate kids...she should of just asked if it was going to be an adult weekend or a family weekend
