we ended up getting drinks/watching the cats/getting dinner a handful of times all told. i don't like to play with people's hearts. i'm not EllRobersonisNotInnocent. i know pretty quickly if i can see a serious future with someone. if i don't see serious potential, i walk away. she was cool. she was funny and cute and gronk'd out or whatev, but i found that i'm not free of my past yet. one night when gronk and i were hanging out, i came to a conscious realization that i wanted to be there with my ex rather than gronk. so i couldnt continue. now she thinks im an bad person (can confirm wacky?) but that's okay.

yeah. i think she and i have different outlooks on male/female friendship. we didn't meet by chance ya know. it was a set up, we weren't going into it looking to find a new platonic friend. so considering we were looking for romance, and it's now off the table, and we hardly know each other, i don't see us as friends. and i think any attempt to keep communicating is done out of a non-platonic hope for a change in the future.. i don't ever want to be given false hope, and in turn i don't like to give false hope.

in situations like these, where the meeting was contrived and arranged for the purpose of romantic pursuit, i'm saying, that when one party is uninterested in said romantic pursuit and the other party claims to want to enter into a friendship, that no, a friendship is not really possible. because let's face it, that's not what this was about.
