The space would be where the arrow is. They are like I described.

I’ve seen them on houses like this one. Bigger, more luxurious ones on larger and nicer houses.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

My grandma had one on her condo and I had one on my townhome. They are nice I guess, I got to know my neighbor who hardened a lot pretty well. I would love a big sliding glass door out to a pool or body of water (had one at an Airbnb in Hawaii and it was amazing).

nicname's pic did nothing to resolve any confusion over what the hell is a hidden front patio.

Nobody expects a patio on the roof!

Are the roofs were offset enough to put the patio in a cubbie?

If I lived there I’d drive nic around in search of a hidden front porch somewhere in wichita, not unlike searching for a stolen phone.

I immediately drove around town to get a sample and nobody had a patio on their roof??!?  Then again they are "hidden" so.....

I will take a photo when I come across one.

Whoever said cubbie, maybe that is a better term

I'm starting to think nic just wants to smoke weed on his porch without the cops' prying eyes being able to see him.

you guys are getting thrown off by nicname's terminology.  he's just talking about an up basement.

Don't really understand how this 'hidden front porch' thing works, but it sure sounds cool.
Sitting on your patio with a cold one and a smoke watching something, all that without anyone seeing you?
I'm in

Like a huge wall size one? I think looking out at a beach in Hawaii would be great. I wouldn’t get one for Kansas, I could understand not liking it in 110 degree heat.

Ya. Huge heat loss/gain on those sliders. Nice thermal pane french doors work significantly better.

i meant the pool.  sliding glass doors are fine.
