This wind has torn the living crap out of our roof. Going to spend $10k plus to have it replaced in the next few weeks. When the house was originally roofed, they did it in the winter and the shingles never really sealed. It is fairly old and is probably due for replacement, but it still sucks.
also Evergy has a $500 rebate for adding the sevice for 240v a charger but you do have to own an EVhttps://www.evergy.com/ways-to-save/discounts-link/ev-charging
are you the only person in kansas to not have had their roof replaced by insurance in the past two years?
Quote from: Tobias on April 12, 2022, 01:18:39 PMare you the only person in kansas to not have had their roof replaced by insurance in the past two years?Insurance depreciates your roof now. So only get partial payout even if you have replacement coverage. At least mine does. Farmers.
in the end, EMAW will always win.
First check should equal the depreciated amount minus deductible. They hold the replacement until you actually put a new one on.

I hadn't replaced anything ever but when I looked at the policy it had some roof grid in the back. Glad to be wrong!

Dealing with contractors is the worst, I still am trying to find one I feel comfortable with. All of them over promise and under deliver, and take longer to do everything. They're not wholly awful, but it's always just peak frustration
