Sect two builds tunnels leading to underground synagogue so they can access it to pray (?)

I think you've got it. Although it seems like Sect 2 met in the basement already. I'm not entirely clear what the tunnel was for. This explains a bit more but also leaves me a little more confused.

The Turkey thing was my favorite. Adams’ staffer said “I think this is illegal, I’ll ask if he wants to do it.” Then he came back and said “he wants to do to this illegal thing.” The person in Turkey said “this is exactly how we’ll do the illegal thing & how we’ll cover it up for you” to which the staffer just responded “super.”
