It was anchored in there like a tick and I had to remove it with some tweezers. I gave her a bath 4 days ago so she must have picked it up recently.

They all get that big. I’ve seen animals with probably 1,000 of them on them. Incredibly sad/gross.

She fired back that maybe you have never seen a tick because it's dry as crap out there bc there are no trees or grass or moisture in Meade. (she is from Osage City)

I grew up in a wooded area with 2-4 dogs and an embarrassing amount of ticks in my life. It was pretty gross thinking back about it. The tiny ones were the worst.

In western KS these ticks are common, as they are known as dog ticks.  There is very little chance of getting Lyme disease from these ticks.  Seven is correct, the little bastards known as deer ticks have all the rough ridin' diseases.

If you get lyme disease it can make you allergic to red meat. I've had some where between 10-50+ ticks embedded on me in my life and have somehow avoided it to the best of my knowledge.

I just can't believe how bloated that tick on Milo was...my mutts have gotten plenty of ticks on them out at the cat ranch but I've never seen one gorge itself that much.
