You know how many resumes I get with ppl's pictures on them? Of course, there hasn't been an ugly person yet who does it.

What I've seen recently are pop-up resumes.  Basically resumes folded in such a way that when opened whimsical pictures of your achievements pop up off the page at your potential employer.

damn, I thought the hot thing was cakes

Ms. Abe snapchatted a picture of a resume where the person didn't capitalize "i" when talking about themselves. Very lol

Also handwritten resumes are making a comeback.  It adds a personal touch that can get lost in our digital age.

Make sure to use a page torn out of a spiral notebook.

I could send one of these to Wacks this afternoon and be a dentist tomorrow.  Especially if I let him pick Ipad or Samsung.

Well I wasn't talking about appearances. I was talking about his tendencies, but yeah, bozo the clown is probably more accurate.

Jesus, as I wrote my resume last night, it occured to me I've never really HAD a real resume.   When I graduated in 99 I had the standard graduate resume, had 8 interviews and 5 offers to choose from.    Then I got a call in 2003 asking if I wanted a job, so I updated my resume then as a formality.     Now I've had a good gig and been complacent and not kept up, and I'm terrible at talking about myself and don't really "keep score".      :'bye cruel world:

I love the challenge of trying to make everything sound exciting on your resume.

In college I wrote a silly article in some magazine that gets dropped off at frat/sor houses then promptly thrown away. I have this on my resume as "Authored an article that was distributed to over 75 universities nationwide"

My friend is an Enginerd who used to do Walmart builds and retrofits, when he was looking for a new job he never mentioned "Walmart" but played up his experience in "retail/restaurant/automotive/warehouse/etc etc" design.

---Serious Question regarding resumes-----

I owned and operated a lawn mowing business in high school that mowed about 10 yards a week and had a couple of friends that would help me.

I have this listed as a bullet point in my other experience section "Owned and operated a lawn mowing business while in high school with 4 employees".

At what age do I need to remove this? It was an awesome add when I was fresh out of college and I didn't have much experience and I still get asked about it in every interview...but now I'm in my late 20's and that was 10 years ago.

I feel like it needs to go soon or people will think "Wow, look at this 40 year old who still lists stuff from high school on his resume".
