What is the longest job interview you have been in? I have one Friday that is 5 hours. I hope they at least buy me lunch, or maybe it's some sort of endurance test.
When I got the job I am currently in (14 years) thr first step was a screening interview.  They told me to expect about 30 minutes. I arrived about twenty minutes early just to get myself settled and prepared.  They greeted me right away and asked if I wanted to start the screening since they were ready and I was there.  We started at about 10:15.  When we were still visiting about my philosophy and my leadership self- reflection at about 12:40, I knew they were interested in calling me back.  It was grueling. They followed that up a week later with the entire panel (11 interviewers) and an interview that lasted two hours.  They had two more finalists lined up for interviews.  I received a call several hours later with an offer.
Did you accept the offer?

Since it's the job I am currently in...yes, I accepted the offer.  How's it going, SdK?

I've had all day interviews, but it was more of a series of meetings with different departments. Are you going to be in with the same group the entire time? I always like to know who I'm interviewing ahead of time so I can get my head around what I need to prepare for.

I recently met seperately with a recruiter, a different recruiter, SVP, AVP, different AVP, manager of department I was interviewing for, guy I'd be working with in that department, manager of adjacent department, manager and three people from a different adjacent department. Four hours one day, three hours the next. No offer.

1.5 days

Non-stop? Or are you talking about a 9-5 plus another 9-1pm the next day?

It was a 9-dinner and like 9-11 the next day.

Do you guys ever call in sick because you are getting stressed out being at work and you want to scream and punch someone while you are there? Just wondering.

Just scream and punch them. You're a girl...it won't get you fired and you probably can't hurt them with your little girly punch anyway.

(Sorry you have to deal with an idiot MG. Christmas is just over a week away. Try to remain calm.)

We do a similar process. A decent amount is shadowing. Sometimes start after lunch instead of 9 the first day. Higher up positions generally have 4-7 interviews with different ppl plus dinners.

I actually did that Friday.   Needed a break from work, so I took the day off and unplugged.
