I went to this ridiculously expensive $40 burger place in Lucerne and they messed up the order twice. It was like Johnny's level.

Switzerland is expensive as eff. Go buy a $20 bagel in Zurich.

And as to Sandstone's comments above, the last time I visited the grounds of the Eiffel Tower, there were rats running around everywhere. Did you see any ratatouilles? Maybe they only come out at night.

Zurich is on my short list for a trip during the kstate road game stretch in October. Recommend otherwise?

I mean, if you're just picking one place to visit in Switzerland, it's not the first place I'd recommend.

Austin is a really impressive place, I’ve never been here before.

Where are you staying?

clams, I daydream about Terry Black's at least once a week. I highly recommend going there if you can!
i’ve got about two pounds of franklin brisket in my fridge rn

How long was the wait today?
i got dropped off on the way in from the airport at right around 8:15, I was about the 20th person.  they stack those foldable chairs for people to use so I grabbed one and sat my ass down.  ate at 11:45, so 3.5 hours.  it was quite fun talking with my line neighbors and watching old episodes of The Wire on my ipad.  time flew by.  lol at the size of the beef rib.

Did that cost more or less than 100 bones?

I believe it was $177.  There’s about five pounds of various meats on that tray plus some pie and refreshments.

i’d rather spend $200 at franklin than anywhere else tbh

Traffic sucks but it’s a fun city. Depending on traffic it’s like an hour and a half from me
you know where traffic doesn’t suck?  kansas city, and I wonder why.

Curious which Swiss places you like better. I've been most places in Switzerland and I like Zurich best. Basel I liked second-best.

I'm more of a bigger town guy, I gather. But there's nowhere that doesn't have easy access to the mountains. Note that neither of us mentioned Geneva. Definitely not my fave.

Honestly, I had to look up the definition for insipid and now plan on using it regularly so I don't forget it. Insipid!

Zurich isn't very close to mountains. Lausanne is right next to Geneve, and it has the most stunning natural feature I've seen in my life: a giant lake towered over by even more gigantic, 1000+ foot sheer mountain faces. They go straight up. The juxtaposition is incredible. And the raclette in that part of the country is *chef kiss*.
