Denver is great for KC'rs because you can get like a $99 roundtrip flight on Southwest. Once you get there, you can get some good food in the city and then drive right up into the mountains.

Plus.... CASA BONITA!!!

KC food scene is 10x Denver though.

Yeah for BBQ no doubt.

I’m with mich, Denver is just so far from the mountains that it might as well be in Kansas.

It's crazy too, the Broncos fans that suck the worst aren't even from Denver.  It's definitely a transplant city, and most people just abandon their hometown teams and cheer for the Broncos when they are good.  The Manning years was an awful time to live there as a Chiefs fan, just awful!

I hated that and also the Tebow hype, although the Tebow stuff was mostly harmless because he was never going to win much.

To be fair, most NFL fans do suck. I just really hate the rough ridin' Broncos. Like, worse than KU.

Yes. We do Northwest Arkansas every summer. My uncle usually has a lake house near Bella Vista. Bentonville is a cool town. Lots of places to hike, fish, bike, etc.

My grandparents and aunt/uncle lived in Bella vista growing up. We rented a house there one summer for an entire month. Beautiful part of the country with insanely proud hillbillies living in it. Like “I’m a proud hillbilly!”.

I didn't even think about it but seriously have you been to the Steamboat Arabia? I didn't go until I came back visiting family 10 years after I left and had an afternoon to kill. honestly one of my favorite history museums I've been to. (out of like 6 or so)

it’s actually the ww1 museum, not a ww1 museum

pretty big deal but to my earlier point, it doesn’t get much publicity

Literally THE . Like for the whole USA

Arabia is unique. Supposedly it's leave river market for a rural site. Probably for the best it eats up a lot of good real estate that could be an indoor portion of the market.

I have a vengeance towards the Arabia, because they single handily stopped the buzz concerts in the River Market and those were Euphoric!

oh ok.

I don't think Dallas and L.A. compare at all. L.A. is way better.  Kansas City might be better described as the Miniature Dallas of the Midwest.

It's just a throwback reference to something Beems said a long time ago.

I believe mocat made the original la-dallas comparo

Interesting. Why do I associate it with Beems?

When I worked at Entercom I got to watch the concerts in the VIP area with Lazlo. Met and watched 311, Weezer, Modest Mouse, etc. Coolest part of working there. Chicks thought I was cool. :gocho:
