You can also call an animal communicator if you really want to know what your dog thinks, and yes, they do work. Use them all the time in foster work and with my own dog kids.

I've used them on my own when I had pack order issues. My female didn't like me to play with her on the bed, me over her. That is an alpha move and she didn't like it. After the talk, she had no issues with it at all, she looked on me as the pack leader then and they also started minding me when I said no to something.

Have also used them with fosters to find out their history and to fix behavior issues. Also good to use them when a dog gets adopted to better fit them into their new home. Had one dog who was peeing on the floor (was house trained) and was only accepting the woman of the house (since he'd lived with me for 3 years). After the talk, he quit peeing the next day and accepted the rest of the family by the end of the week. Those are just a couple of sessions I've had.

Also great to use them to talk to your pet if they're at the age to be put to sleep because of illness or can't walk, etc. They can see if they're ready and know what will happen, etc. I've also used them to talk to crossed over pets to see how they are, had a reading when I got new pets to see who they were and their history, etc. Interesting experiences.

Are you rough ridin' kidding me?

who knew that people who could talk to animals can also talk to dead animals?  huh.  reminds me of when I was a kid and a bunch of kids would play with the ouija board and everyone would end up asking ghosts what was going to happen to them in the future.  I could not get it through my friends' heads that these are ghosts, how the eff would they know what was going to happen in the future?

I think running in general would be a problem. And why does your chicken need a ring?

lasserj is right.

I'm working with a kid who is finishing his freshman year at a Kansas college (not KSU) and is looking for his first job for crying out loud.

His so called intelligent mother insisted that he not have a job thru high school so he could "have fun in his youth". He wanted a job but was not allowed to do so. Great help Mom was.

She is now divorced (go figure) and can't afford to have the three kids NOT have jobs as the last one graduates from high school and two are in college.

He asked me if I would be a reference for him on job applications and commented in the text..."not having any work experience sure makes finding a summer job tough". No sXXX.

My advice is to kids or anyone for that matter is "get off your dead axx and go to work".

Yeah, you may not be able to pay for everything in 4 years but who said you had to?

My daughter on the other hand worked as a dance instructor and life guard all through high school. She has more money in the bank as a college sophomore than anyone she knows and the account continues to grow on fairly low per hour wage of $7 to $8/hour.

She'll get out of college as a teacher and because of her education major be able to have her student loans paid off because she'll teach in qualified school districts in Kansas. (Newton is one of those districts surprisingly.)

Working as a youth is good and paying for our own education can be done.

Go Cats!!
Where did you get that overnight bag?

In my experience, the people who bitch and moan the loudest about kids not being good workers these days have horrible work ethics themselves.

Ya, I'd love to meet that guy in real life. I'd punch him in the gut. I've worked since I was 10. Had 3 jobs in college and still have a crap load of student loan debt. What a douche bag.

His daughter still has loans, but they are paid off in full by working at shitty Kansas school districts where no one wants to work. Incredibly, Newton qualifies for this program.

Yeah, love the tone about getting out and working for something, but then brags about his daughter's loans being taken care of by the state.

Ya, I'd rather live in the city with debt. Sounds like she got pretty lucky that the metropolis of Newton qualifies.

Kids today haven't changed, the adults have changed. What adults accept is what's changed. The lack of demanding is what's changed.

The program applies to all college grads. If you get a job in rural Kansas, you will get all of your student loans forgiven.

If you are an out-of-stater who moves to a "Rural Opportunity Zone" County, you will pay no state income tax for 5 years. If you are a recent college grad and move to one of those counties, the state will pay off your student loans, up to $15,000.

not worth it.  not even close.  i mean maybe for a doc, but not for $15k + no state income tax.  :sdeek:

It's a pretty sweet deal if you have parents in a ROZ County. Go to college, establish residence, take out $15,000 in loans, and move back in with your parents after graduation just long enough to establish residence. Get your $15,000 check from the state, then go find a job.
