Squeaks really hammered him.

I'll be damned if I'm writing an article on a kid for 2013

Signing Day for 2012 is hardly more than 24 hours old and already we've got a thread like this going? Like always, when you all demand it (as if our site is slacking in comparison to the rest of the Rivals network) I'm sure Gates and I will come up with some sort of update. But c'mon guys. Give us at least a week or two. Recruiting isn't the only part of our jobs.
And as for the comment on the thread I had running pre-signing day, implying nobody cared about some worthless D2 & D3 prospects, I wouldn't have started it if subscribers hadn't started numerous other threads the weekend prior begging for info on where guys like Decker, J.Washington, and McMakin were headed. I did my best to go above and beyond so y'all didn't have to sift through countless threads trying to find info on in-state guys. It's not my fault they ended up where they did; I was just reporting what I gathered. Sorry if that wasn't what you were looking for, but the day before signing day for 2012, I'll be damned if I'm writing an article on a kid for 2013, who regardless of whether he's committed or not, won't be able to sign for another year to the day. Give me a break.

hahahahaaha OH WOW.
That's like working at a restaurant and saying "We just had a bunch of customers between 11am and 2pm, and now people want to eat dinner? Give us a day or two to get ready. I'll be damned if people want to eat lunch AND dinner on the same day"

It was a strange, rather uneventful recruiting year.

Man, if we at goEMAW were as lazy as those guys are, it'd be hard for us to continue charging what we do.

Seems like those guys spend more time explaining about how hard their jobs are than actually doing their jobs.

What does Brian Gates do for a living that doesn't involve calling recruits?

Something tells me that if Fitz had a website giving recruiting information for some other school's women's swim team, he'd already be giving a full update on the 2015 class.

Not sure how many times we have to repeat ourselves, but if you have a problem with recruiting coverage, take it up with LHC LHC LHC Bill Snyder, not us. In a season like 2011, where KSU had so much success, if you think Bill allowed his staff to throw us any recruiting nuggets, you've got another thing coming.

And as for Severino, I have never spoken with him other than through email. I can remember calling Rockhurst at least 4 or 5 times in the last few weeks asking about Jordan. No response. So don't point fingers acting like Gates and I have sat back, lounging on important info. Could I have followed the email up on Trey Randle by asking the coach about Jordan? Probably. But at that time, as I've stated before, I'll be damned if I'm hunting for info on a story that's somewhat meaningless for another year- especially considering we had a class of 26 for 2012 signing a day later.

If you all are that hurt by it, I'll call Rockhurst again today or try emailing for contact info. Just know that some of the comments I've read over the past 48 hours really have me steaming. I've tried to do everything I can on the recruiting front to make this site proud, and don't even get me started on Gates- he's got so many things on his plate and yet he still finds time on nights and weekends to work phones whether it yields an update or not.

Lately, I've really been questioning the high road with some of y'all... Biting my tongue...

If my employee told my customer that he would be damned if they expected him to do something, I would fire his ass.

Yeah, well you aren't getting ready to head to Tubby's to call it a week in about 10 minutes, either.

No crap, as would 99.99% of bosses everywhere.

Luckily, he knows his boss is Fitz. As long as he continues to be his wingman (or is it the other way around?) at Tubby's and So Long, dude has 100% job security.

Wallace,

with all due respect this info has been out there for several weeks. you stated that you spoke with Severino a few days ago concerning his '12 DE and when I saw that I sort of thought it might occur to ask, "oh yeah, i hear you have a junior who is committed to KSU"....while I appreciate the info we did plenty of digging on walk-on candidates in those last few days. I understand quite a bit of it was searching what remained at junior colleges as well. I think the biggest gripe most have is just an overall lack of recruiting coverage leading up to the past few weeks. I don't know if it is a change in the direction of GPC or whatever but as a longstanding member it was not something i was accustomed to seeing from this site.

Wow. Wally, with all due respect sometimes it's best to keep most of those thoughts to yourself instead of lashing out. Saying things like I'll be damned if I'm going to write an update on a committed kid, this is a recruiting site.

Hey, I'm a self employed small business owner, I take a brunt of crap from people. It's part of the job in a service based business. Maybe knowing that I should of held back from what I wrote, for that I apologize. I know you guys work hard and our busy. Saying that I would never tell a customer I'm questioning taking the high road with him and I'm just holding back biting my tongue. He would fire me in a hear beat. In my opinion that is a little unprofessional.

Guys-  He sent 4 or 5 emails in the last few weeks AND THAT'S JUST THE ONES HE CAN REMEMBER!!  Cut him some slack here, it's been an uneventful recruiting year and, as such, needs a week or two to recover before he starts HITTING THE PHONES AGAIN!!!

If Rockhurst doesn't pick up after 2 rings, they aren't there.
